Past Perfect Simple

Normally, you get two actions in the Past:

1 - you did grammar exercises at home

2 - you learnt about Past Perfect at school


So, what's the oldest action here?


First,  you learnt about Past Perfect then you went home to do more exercises.

If I asked you to join the two sentences into one, how would you do it?

After we had learnt Past Perfect in class, we went home to do more exercises.
