Some, Any and No
These words are used to express the sense of quantity. Each one of them is used in a certain way.
It's easy! Let's have a look!
Some - used in affirmative sentences and in questions where you offer or ask for something
e.g. Can I have some sugar, please?
We still have some cheese in the fridge.
Any - used in negative and interrogative sentences
e.g. They haven't got any sugar at school.
Do you have any interesting books at home?
No - used with a affirmative verb to express that something isn't there
e.g. There are no students today.
They have no tests this week.
Let's practise!
